Why Birth Education?

Trauma prevention, empowerment, and possibility.

Birth Education called to me after the birth of my first daughter. I had taken a Birth Boot Camp class in preparation, and when things went sideways, I was prepared and ready to make informed choices that supported my priorities. Because of this, I was able to process and heal so much better, and move on to learning how to be a mother without the trauma I would have otherwise carried.

I believe you have the right to that option as well.

No matter what your dream birth looks like, you deserve to feel ready for it, and I’d love to help you achieve that.

  • Birth Boot Camp classes are for birthing parents and their birth partners, whether that’s a mom and her mom, a mom and her husband, a NB or masc birth parent with their partner, surrogate and support, or any other combo of pairs.

  • Class is a place of learning and discussion and fun. Be prepared to laugh and dig deep. Speak up, and bring a snack, we’re going to get into the details!

    Due Diligence Birth Education is committed to providing space and respect for cultural birth practices. At DDBE we are always open to learning new things about the birthing needs of anyone who comes to class, and welcome all cultures and experiences.

    P.S. Women of Color have been leading the charge for holistic birth and safer outcomes for decades. DDBE is proud to support this fight.

  • Yes! From Hybrid, self-paced options, to workshops and refresher courses, we can find something for

    you. Reach out and tell me about your situation!

  • Unfortunately at this time DDBE does not take insurance, but birth classes are HSA/FSA eligible. Just let me know what kind of reciept details your insurance requires.

  • Birth Boot Camp is a curriculum meant to take you through all the knowledge you need for an amazing birth. Here’s their website for more info:

  • No, Birth Boot Camp is more like a toolbox, or a study guide. The goal is to prepare you to know all your options, guide you toward techniques that suit you, and make sure, above all, that you are informed and empowered.
